Our first medal of 2017 honored one of the most beloved characters in the Wizarding World — Alastor “Mad-Eye” Moody — and featured a MOVING eye-ball medal!

Moody never let his injuries stop him. Moody fought valiantly in both the First and Second Wizarding Wars, and captured many dark witches and wizards…but at a cost. He lost a leg, an eye and part of his nose in carrying out his duties as an Auror for the Ministry of Magic. It is in this spirit, proceeds from this event went to support the Limbs for Life Foundation.

Limbs for Life Foundation is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to providing fully-functional prosthetic care for individuals who cannot otherwise afford it and raising awareness of the challenges facing amputees. When a person becomes an amputee, they are faced with staggering emotional and financial lifestyle changes.  Fortunately, high tech prosthetic devices that restore a person’s basic skills and independence are available. Unfortunately, many amputees lack the financial resources to obtain adequate prosthetic care. Limbs for Life Foundation steps in to provide a financial bridge between low-income amputees and the quality prosthetic care needed to restore their lives.

We are pleased to announce the Constant Vigilance 5k event raised $78,248.93 to benefit Limbs for Life Foundation.
