“There were a hundred and forty-two staircases at Hogwarts…”

Potterhead Running Club is happy to present the fourth event of the 2021 season: Mind the Gap 14.2k!

Your registration includes this beautiful 3-inch medal an actual *moving* representation of the Castle’s enchanted staircases! That’s right…the center steps SPIN!

As with every PHRC event, all registrants receive the beautiful custom sublimated ribbon, and the always-popular personalized digital bib.

“This way. This way is the most direct path…”

Our charity partner for the next PHRC event is Sea Turtle, Inc.!

Since 1977, Sea Turtle, Inc. has pursued their mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and release injured sea turtles, educate the public, and assist with conservation efforts for all marine turtle species.

When hatchling turtles emerge from the nest, they can become disoriented by lights on land that lead them away from the water’s horizon where they are intended to crawl. Our support of Sea Turtle, Inc. will help fund their incredible rescue work…and specifically, making sure the newly-hatched babies can safely cover that “gap” getting to their new oceanic home.

“Please mind the gap between train and platform. This station is King’s Cross St. Pancras.”

To the uninitiated, two things can be very, very confusing: maneuvering the moving staircases in the Castle, and navigating the London Underground system. We’ve captured the merry madness of both in the official Mind the Gap 14.2k event shirt.

Available in multiple fabrics and styles from tees, to tanks, to long-sleeves, proceeds will also support Sea Turtle, Inc..

“It was also very hard to remember where anything was, because it all seemed to move around a lot.”

Remember that this is a ‘virtual’ active event, so you can complete your 14.2 kilometer distance however, wherever and whenever you want! How? You can run, walk, jog, roll, row, dance, or saunter. Where? You can do it around your neighborhood, on the treadmill, or on your favorite trail. When? You can do it on a Monday night, a Thursday morning, or a Saturday afternoon. Everything is up to you!

For some extra fun, the optional ‘run day’ for the event is June 16: National Sea Turtle Day. If you want to join thousands of others around the world completing some or all of the distance on that day, you’ll be in some magical company.

Registration closes at midnight on June 20. Medals will ship out the following week. There’s no need to track and report your distances to us, as they ship out on the ‘honor system’. Just go be amazing!

Just like the staircases themselves, it’s time to get moving!
