“He hit the field on all fours – coughed – and something gold fell into his hand.”

Potterhead Running Club is thrilled to present the third event of the 2021 season: Chaser 15 Mile!

Your registration includes this beautiful 3-inch medal featuring the most famous enchanted sporting equipment on the pitch! The badge is evocative of the trophy where Harry first learned that playing Quidditch was “in his blood” as his father, per the book series, was a chaser for his House team.

As with every PHRC medal, all registrants also receive the beautiful custom sublimated ribbon, and the always-popular personalized digital bib!

“It was surreal at first. I could never have imagined that quidditch would become something I’d be so heavily invested in… It’s not only created an environment that has created a lot of friendships for me, but also I’ve been in the best shape of my life playing quidditch. With the levels of competition and just seeing how many fantastic athletes there are in the sport, it encourages me to push myself to be the best player I can be.” — Mitch Usis, the Warriors

Our charity partner for this PHRC event is US Quidditch!

US Quidditch (USQ) is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to governing the sport of quidditch and advancing the sport by organizing events and programs that build community and empower all adult and youth athletes of all identities, including all races and genders, to compete together.

This event’s proceeds will support USQ as they return to organizing regional and nationwide competitions, continue their youth education programs, and implement new diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, such as a new membership grant program for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color players.

“You catch this, the game’s over. You catch this, Potter, and we win.” — Oliver Wood

The tiny one is wicked fast and ends the match, but don’t dismiss the other two! One goes through the hoop to score your team points, and the other will knock you off your broom if you’re not careful. All three together make up the best sport ever conjured! Whether you fancy yourself a seeker, a beater, a keeper, or a CHASER, this shirt will quickly become a practice staple!

Available in multiple fabrics and styles from tees, to tanks, to long-sleeves, proceeds will also support US Quidditch!

“It’s our sport. Wizard sport. It’s like – like football in the Muggle world – everyone follows quidditch – played up in the air on broomsticks and there’s four balls – sorta hard ter explain the rules.”

Remember that this is a ‘virtual’ active event, so we highly encourage you to complete your 15 mile distance however, wherever and whenever (over as many sessions as) you want! How? You can walk, run, skip, dance, or saunter. Where? You can do it around your neighborhood, on the treadmill, or on your favorite trail. When? You can do it on a few weekday nights, a couple quiet mornings, or a pair of sweaty weekend afternoons. It’s all up to you!

For some extra fun, the optional ‘run day’ for the event is April 25: the “Sorting Sunday” for our own quidditch-inspired house competition. If you want to join thousands of others around the world completing some of the distance on that day, you’ll be in some magical company!

Registration closes at midnight on May 2. Medals will ship out the following week.

It’s time for “brooms up”, everyone…we have to run!
